About this role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and improve reliable software products used by customers at scale. The role involves working closely with product, design, QA, and engineering teams, contributing to technical decisions, and helping raise engineering standards across the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
• Translate product requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions.
• Review code, improve development practices, and mentor less-experienced engineers.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Contribute to architecture, performance, reliability, and security decisions.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and production releases.
• Investigate production issues and drive root-cause fixes and preventative improvements.

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or a comparable backend stack.
• Strong frontend experience with React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.
• Good knowledge of SQL databases and data modelling; NoSQL experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Git, APIs, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, and teamwork skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with microservices, containers, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems, queues, caching, and observability tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum product teams.
