About this role

Associate, Special Projects role at The Olayan Group reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The position supports the CEO with reviewing investment materials, preparing for meetings, updating financial models, conducting due diligence, and producing research and reports. The role is based in London, England and requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CEO in all aspects of reviewing inbound deals and requests.
  • Support current investments and continually update views around those investments.
  • Develop and update financial models to evaluate prospective investments as requested.
  • Verify the accuracy of existing models.
  • Gather and analyze investment performance data and present findings to the CEO and other senior leaders or external partners as needed.
  • Conduct commercial and market due diligence.
  • Draft and develop quarterly reviews, notes, and research reports.
  • Attend relevant industry conferences and networking events.
  • Keep abreast of macro and industry-related news flow and analyze implications of developments to companies in the portfolio.

Required qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree from a competitive university with a strong GPA.
  • Four to six years of prior relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Well-developed understanding of financial and valuation concepts and modeling skills.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative work style.
  • Ability to work with many individuals and teams with different personalities and priorities.
  • Ability to adapt working style to build, maintain, and influence relationships across all levels of the organization and externally.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to be concise and to the point.
  • High level of adaptability, flexibility, and resilience to change.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree or CFA.
  • Investment banking or consulting experience preferred.
